Question of the Week #4

We had a couple of really good answers to last weeks question and I’m glad some of you took the time to read the question.  I think that if we put our heads together and not let them get too big we can all help to come up with realistic, legitimate, and cost effective ways to keep the DIVISION healthy.  This week, I’m going to step back from focusing on the issues with the DIVISION and I want to focus on you guys.  The fans are part of what helps to  make the supermodified DIVISION one of, if not THE most unique in all of racing.  So I want to know-

WHAT THREE THINGS WOULD MAKE A SUPERMODIFIED EVENT BETTER FOR YOU?

Now here’s your chance.  Maybe it’s a faster show, maybe you ‘d like to see a dash, or maybe you need a longer autograph session.  Do you want to see time trials?  Do you hate time trials?  Is there enough pomp and circumstance?  Maybe you just want a good souvenier at a great price from the trailer of schwag.  Whatever it is, pick three and tell me about it.  I want to know because I’m going to shout it for you and be your voice to the sanctions and tracks.  Have at it!

I know that many fans love the autograph sessions where they can see the drivers up close, talk to the drivers, the cars up close. This I feel should be a top priority. It gets them excited and the pics are something they don’t pay for.Drivers who take the time to do this leave a lasting impression on the fans, especially the kids.It makes them want to come again to see the supers.
To me ,time trials are a waste of time. Some like them but I don’t.To each his own on that I guess. Before getting involved with supers,I as a fan got bored with TT.That was a time to go to the concessions or whatever.
I enjoyed watching midgets run the dashes, supers would be good too,but I know it just means more wear & tear on the car, driver & crew. There would need to be some money there to make it worth while.
Anything to get fans more involved on a personal level is great.I know these things can be a pain, but if it wasn’t for the fans in the seats,we would not be there either. An excited fan who has had a good experience with the supers will be sure to tell their friends and family about it and invite them the next time supers are at the track or may even drive a ways just to see them again, which I did before helping Jen Chesbro & Vern Romanoski.
Just my 2 cents on it because you asked for it.(Hey,what a great name for a TV show)
