2010 SMRA Champion Lonnie Adamson continued his winning streak by picking up the shortened Gerhardt Classic supermodified feature at Madera Speedway.
Adamson checked out on lap 2 and his only challenge came in the form of Kenny White who was called to pilot the Jim Birges owned #32.
With just five supers in the pits the race was shortened to 25 laps and then checkered on lap 21 when White, who was back in a super for the first time in over a year, lost a coolant line.
Dan Vanderpool, 2010 360 Champion Kyle Vanderpool, and White out finish.
Earlier in the day after losing two drive lines, rookie Shane Vanderpool’s debut as a supermodified racer went from bad to worse when he blew up in the heat race after the drive mandrel for the belt driven oil pump came off the crank.
Watch for the official Madera Speedway press release coming soon.
